| Teaching and Research Interests: | The majority of the courses I teach are are microbiology courses, since that is where my training and interests are primarily, but I am interested an all aspects of cellular and molecular biology. My research most recently has focused on bacterial interactions with various human-produced substances: antiseptics, sunscreen, artificial sweeteners, etc. Most of these projects have been student initiated; students will come to me with interesting questions and I will work with them to develop an experimental strategy to answer it. |
